Below, you will find an explanation of general principles for the processing of personal data by Ford Otosan, the purposes for which your personal data is processed and the rights that you have concerning your personal data within the scope of our cookie usage activity related to CAPI Portal ("CAPI Portal" or "Portal").

This Cookie Policy does not cover the information collected by applications, third-party websites, web applications and platforms outside the control of our Company, the information collected by third-party sites/web applications through the links on our web application or the headlines, campaigns and other advertisements or promotions on third-party sites/web applications that we sponsor or participate in. Our Company is not responsible for the actions taken regarding the personal data collected, stored and used by third parties through their own websites and/or web applications.

The CAPI Portal provides its services through the web application available at https://capi.ford.com.tr/. Ford Otosan uses only the cookies specified in this CAPI Portal Cookie Policy on the CAPI Portal. However, as can be seen from the relevant link, since the CAPI Portal is a Ford Otosan web application, its web address includes the domain name "ford.com.tr.". As long as you access the CAPI Portal directly through https://capi.ford.com.tr/ without previously visiting ford.com.tr and/or logging into another ford.com.tr system, only the cookies specified in this CAPI Portal Cookie Policy will be used. However, if you access the https://capi.ford.com.tr/ web application after visiting ford.com.tr or another system under the same domain, the cookies used by those systems may remain stored in your browser. What Are Cookies?

Which Personal Data We Collect and For Which Purposes Is Your Personal Data Processed?

Your personal data is processed in a limited and measured manner in connection with the following processing purposes in line with the cookies used on CAPI Portal.

Cookies and Purposes

Browser and operating system you use, device type and operating system, router (from which site you came from), IP address, user ID, date and time of your visit, interaction status (e.g. whether you can access the site or receive an error warning, link accessed), the use of the features on the site, the search phrases you enter, the frequency of visits, the time you spend on the page, your regional settings, your geographic location, your search keywords, your language preferences, page scrolling movements and user transaction information regarding the tabs you access are processed through cookies for the purposes listed in the cookie tables below.

There are first-party cookies that we use on CAPI Portal. There are also session cookies and persistent cookies by lifespan. Session cookies are deleted when you log out your browser. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, are not deleted when you log out and is automatically deleted on a certain date or after a certain period of time. Lastly, according to their usage purposes, cookies can be examined as (i) strictly necessary cookies, (ii) functional cookies, (iii) performance cookies and (iv) advertising / marketing cookies. These cookies are essential to perform the basic functions necessary for the operation of our website and platforms, to ensure the security of our website/web applications, platforms and visitors, to fulfill our legal obligations and to use our rights arising from the current legislation and cannot be switched off in our systems.   • Carrying out the storage activities of the personal data collected regarding the above-mentioned activities within the scope of the execution of these processes,
  • Conducting information security processes in environments where personal data collected within the scope of the above-mentioned activities are stored,
  • Carrying out all the above-mentioned activities in accordance with the current legislation,
  • Informing legally authorized institutions and organizations, following up the legal affairs and exercising our right of defence when necessary.
  • Fulfilling obligations under the Law No. 5651 on Regulation of Broadcasts via Internet and Prevention of Crimes Committed through Such Broadcast and other legislation.

How Do We Collect Personal Data?

Your personal data processed for the abovementioned purposes is obtained completely or partially automatically, electronically, through CAPI Portal, your browsers, our third-party advertising partners, and social media platforms.

Who May Access Your Personal Data?

Your personal data will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent or except as provided for by law or as specified in this Privacy Notice.

Ford Otosan may transfer your personal data to the legally authorized private individuals and organizations and public institutions including relevant ministries, courts and enforcement offices for the purposes of carrying out all the above-mentioned activities in accordance with the current legislation, informing legally authorized institutions and organizations, following up the legal affairs and exercising our right of defence when necessary.

We only keep your personal information in identifiable form for as long as for the period required by the purposes of processing or, if necessary, during the legal statute of limitations. We will delete, destroy or anonymize personal data following the expiry of these periods.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Your personal data collected through essential cookies and functional cookies is processed within the scope of Article 6 of the GDPR, based on the legal reason of "existence of legitimate interest", "performance of a contract", and "compliance with our legal obligations".

Your personal data is processed based on the legal reasons of fulfilment of our legal obligations and establishment, exercise or protection of a right for the purposes of carrying out the above-mentioned activities in accordance with the current legislation, informing legally authorized institutions and organizations, following legal affairs and exercising our right to defence when necessary and transferred to the persons and organizations mentioned above.

How Do We Protect and Store Personal Data?

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, including inter alia as appropriate:

  • pseudonymisation and encryption of Personal Data;
  • the ability to ensure the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of processing systems and services;
  • the ability to restore the availability and access to Personal Data in a timely manner in the event of a physical or technical incident;
  • a process for regular testing, assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of technical and organisational measures for ensuring the security of the processing.

In assessing the appropriate level of security account shall be taken in particular of the risks that are presented by processing, in particular from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.

How Can You Block Cookies?

We would like to point out that if you partially or completely disable the cookies on the CAPI Portal, some features and services on CAPI Portal may not work properly and our website may not be able to display all its functions, since we will not be able to recognize and associate your account(s).
